Vintage wooden spool, J and P Coats

Original vintage Super Sheen Mercerised Machine Twist on its wooden spool, made in South Africa. This is the shorter type of spool, 2.5cm high.
 
A lovely piece of authentic vintage haberdashery, ideal for junk journals, sewing-themed displays, altered books, assemblage, styling, or adding to a collection of old sewing notions.
 
The spool retains its original labels and still has a substantial amount of white thread wound around it.
